The station was set up in 1997 by two children of the famous Armenian television personality, intellectual, historian and author, Artem Sargsyan and has developed a reputation for broadcasting telenovelas.[citation needed] The channel is now the most watched Armenian television network in the world, presenting a diverse array of shows, series and movies.
